Giving an inspiring startup the platform to change lives and become Bristol City Council’s Neurodiversity Champion with high-quality, inclusive website design, content, and brand messaging services.

Founder and Director of Self Agency Devon Lowndes came to Content Chef in 2022 with a vision to help organisations and communities celebrate and empower neurodiversity where every mind is accepted and supported.

Inspired by her story, we developed a content marketing strategy to help her launch this new, exciting neurodiversity consultancy.  

The first step was to work with Devon and her photographer to ensure we captured the right professional imagery to use across all future communications. Once the photographer finished, we started working on the brand messaging and developing a new website for her.

Everything we created was intentional and inclusive, from the design to the wording. In particular, the website copy needed to be clear and consistent to uphold the company's strong values and positive ambitions.

As a part of our brand messaging and website design package, we provided:

• SEO copywriting
• Brand messaging – including straplines
• Keyword research

With the website launched and the messaging defined, we helped Devon create and optimise her LinkedIn profile. This service included social media banner graphic design and profile content writing.

Ready to take on the world, Devon started spreading the word about Self Agency. To support her with this process, we helped launch a big public event at Engine Shed in Bristol.

Working to a tight deadline, we set up an Eventbrite page and created the landing page content and designed several event images to be used across LinkedIn and email. The event sold-out inside of a week and was a platform to bigger things to come.

Since then, Devon and Self Agency have made an impact to so many lives. (Something we’re incredibly proud to be associated with as a marketing agency.)

The results:

• Devon/Self Agency was named Neurodiversity Champion by Bristol City Council in a mission to become a more inclusive city. 
• Devon won the Istoria Group Incubation Prize and was named Bristol Disability Equality Commissioner.       
• Self Agency has been hired by three UK universities to implement neurodiversity training and consultancy. 
• Devon is a part of Enterprising Women by SETsquared Bristol.
